　国立トビリシ音楽院でヴァイオリンをシウカシュヴィリ教授に師事。また在学中よりモスクワでボロディン弦楽四重奏団のベルリンスキー氏に弦楽四重奏を学ぶ。卒業後は研究科を経て大学院に進み、指揮法をディミトリアディ氏に師事。
　1988年より2年間バトゥミ市交響楽団の指揮者を、1990～93年ジョージア音楽協会室内管弦楽団の芸術監督および首席指揮者を務める。1993年にイタリアへ渡り、ジョージア弦楽四重奏団のメンバーとして活躍。1996年に大阪シンフォニカー交響楽団（現・大阪交響楽団）のコンサートマスターとして来日。1998年よりトビリシ弦楽四重奏団、アフターアワーズセッションのメンバーとして参加。2001年より関西フィルハーモニー管弦楽団のコンサートマスターに就任。2004年ジョージアのボルジョミで開催された国際音楽祭で、ジョージア国立室内合奏団を指揮、同合奏団を率いてドイツ演奏旅行も成功させる。2005年より関西シティフィルハーモニー交響楽団の常任指揮者に就任。2006年にはジョージア国立歌劇場の客演指揮者に就任。2010年よりジョージア国立交響楽団、ジョージアン・シンフォニエッタ室内オーケストラ、トビリシ音楽院交響楽団の首席指揮者に就任。2011年よりルーマニアのスプリング・フェスティバルに招かれ、オラデア・フィルハーモニーを指揮。
　これまでにマーラーの交響曲、ヴェルディ、ビゼー、モーツァルト、プッチーニ等の歌劇を指揮している。「ブラームス ヴァイオリン・ソナタ全集」、「ショスタコービィチとグルジアの作曲家たち」等のCDをリリース。
　現在、指揮者、及びヴァイオリン奏者としてリサイタル、室内楽の分野で演奏活動を行う傍ら、京都市立芸術大学でヴァイオリン専攻非常勤講師、神戸大学や京都大学の学生オーケストラのトレーナーとして後進の指導にあたっている。

He Graduated from the National Tbilisi Conservatory Graduate School and also gained a Masters Degree. There he learned violin and orchestra conducting. After serving as a conductor of the Batumi City Symphony Orchestra, artistic director and chief conductor of the Georgia Music Society Chamber Orchestra, he moved to Italy and was active as a member of the Georgia String Quartet.

In 1996, he came to Japan as a concertmaster of the Osaka Symphony Orchestra (currently the Osaka Symphony Orchestra). Since 2001, he has been a concertmaster of the Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra. At the 2004 International Music Festival in Borjomi, Georgia, he conducted the Georgia National Chamber Ensemble and led the ensemble to a successful German performance tour. Since 2005, he has been the permanent conductor of the Kansai City Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2006, he became a guest conductor of the Georgia National Opera. Since 2010, he has been the principal conductor of the Georgia National Symphony Orchestra, the Georgian Sinfonietta Chamber Orchestra, and the Tbilisi Conservatory Symphony Orchestra. Since 2011, he has been invited to the Romanian Spring Festival to conduct the Oradea Philharmonic. In 2018, from the Music Critique Club he received the “Encouragement Award” as a member of the After Hours Session.

He has so far conducted numerous symphonies and opera, released CDs such as “Brahms Violin Sonata Complete Works” and “Shostakovich and Georgian Composers”.

Currently, while performing in the fields of recital and chamber music as a conductor and violin player, he is also a part-time lecturer in the violin department at Kyoto City University of Arts and a trainer for student orchestras at Kobe University and Kyoto University.
